The team at Taunton Road Animal Hospital strives to do what is best for our friends. Based on vaccination recommendations published by the World Small Animal Veterinary Association, we are following their core vaccination protocols.
- For adult dogs, we use an alternating yearly schedule for Rabies, Parvovirus and Distemper/Adenovirus/Parainfluenza. (They will not be getting the same vaccine every year.)
- For adult cats, we administer the upper respiratory virus vaccines every three years. Rabies vaccination is administered yearly.
This protocol will result in fewer vaccinations over your pet’s lifetime and still allow for yearly check-ups to keep your pet healthy.
