Can I track my pet?

While it would be great to know your pet’s whereabouts at all times, microchips are not GPS trackers. This means pet owners cannot track their pet’s location in real-time. A pet microchip is a small device about the size of a grain of rice. It is a form of identification that, when scanned, contains your pet’s medical history and your most recent contact information. It’s essential to update your contact information should it change, so you can easily be contacted.

How is the microchip implanted in my pet?

The microchip is inserted under your pet’s skin using a small needle. It is usually placed between the shoulder blades and is barely visible. Your pet may feel a slight pinch from the needle, but the procedure is relatively painless and safe for all pets.
